The new Miss Colombia 2007- 2008 is already chosen. The winner was beautiful Miss Magdalena Taliana Maria Vargas Carrillo, my whole-time favorite. The first runner up was, as I said, too, Miss Bogota Maria Cristina Diazgranados Dangond. Miss Atlantico Cristina Camargo De La Rans, Miss Valle Catalina Florez Giraldo and Miss Cundinamarca Emma Cruz were crowned as princesses.

Here are Taliana and Maria Cristina when the host had just said the results. Taliana was chosen as the new colombians' ruler! Congratulations!!!!!!!

The police also chose her as their queen. She was asked about the rumor that says that polices' queen will never win as Miss Colombia. She answerd that was just a foolish rumor and it didn't mean anything. She said she'll work hard to be Miss Colombia and that way she will proudly be both, Colombia's and Polices' queen... and she was right!!!

She also won Jolie de Vogue's most beautiful face, and later, Miss Elegance... just wonder why!

Here is Taliana at the traditional 'Desfile de Balleneras'. It's about seeing each contestant greeting, smiling and dancing in their own boat in bathing suit while the assistants follow them in private yatchs, ships, boats, playing loud music and playing 'water war'. The rest of the people wait for them in the beach enjoying music, dances, performers, and food... It is a great tradition!!!!!

Another tradition is that the day after the Beauty Pageant, the chosen Miss Colombia takes a picture in bathing suit with the traditional Cartagena's palenqueras!!!... Then the new Miss Colombia has her breakfast and then gives some interviews.
